A little bit of history...
“1908 Catering" is the brand of 1908 Group SA that organises catering and events in Ticino.
It was founded in 2015 within F.C.. Lugano SA, a professional football club currently playing in the top Swiss league, the Super League, to meet the dietary needs of professional athletes, to guarantee the catering service in the Cornaredo Stadium in Lugano during official home matches, and to manage the restaurant inside the stadium on a daily basis, currently known as the "Ristorante Bianconero".
The brand "1908 Catering" has grown especially outside the sporting world, and has become the point of reference in the realisation and management of events and catering for companies and individuals throughout Ticino. This created the need to set up a company dedicated to these activities. Thus, in the spring of 2019, 1908 Group SA was founded, which took over the "1908 Catering" brand and the catering branch of F.C. Lugano SA.
The excellent organisational work in the management of large events, the quality of the raw materials used and the trust gained by companies and individuals, have led the group to specialise in the realisation of events at 360°, to offer all inclusive services, to expand and develop innovative support services such as the management of company canteens, and the development and sale of dedicated apps.
The highly specialised staff, the attention to detail, the desire to satisfy every request and the ability to transform an idea into reality, are the characteristics that guarantee success.
In 2021, the new coprorate identity was launched and a fresh, sleek new brand emphasising the high-quality service part of the company's DNA.
